Description

The Tax Disbursement Team Supervisor will ensure our LERETA LLC and Business Partner processes tax information timely, accurately, and in a qualitative manner in accordance with the company's objectives. Supervisor is to provide training, feedback and support for development of the employee's skills and achievement of the employee's career goals. Supervisor will plan and direct the daily workflow within the Tax Disbursement Team unit to meet financial, operational, and SLA goals.

Budget/Financial

  • Assists the Tax Disbursement Team unit to ensure financial expense goals, production and compliance standards are met.
  • Assists Manager with the annual budget and monthly reforecast including monitoring monthly.

Customer Service/Process Improvement

  • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) on higher complex of diverse scenarios within various tax processing work queues by ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) standards are meeting customer.

  • Attends/moderates daily team huddles while encouraging and supporting employee suggestions for work improvements and work process flow.
  • Defines and coordinates the implementation of new policy and procedures.
  • Manages and controls assigned special projects in accordance with the Business Partner requirements.
  • Effectively monitors, reports, and communicates status of work assignments and statistics to Manager while identifying any opportunity to increase efficiency processing tax payments from mortgage lenders to the taxing agency jurisdictions in order to meet tax payment deadlines and customer SLA's.
  • Responds to inquiries from mortgage lenders, homeowners, and taxing agency jurisdictions in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies that may impact tax processing results to LERETA business partners.
  • Assists in development and implementation of new business applications including business requirements, performs rigorous testing in UAT, and follows through to production.

Tax Processing

  • Reports tax status to LERETA internal and external customers.
  • Plans ahead to allow for sufficient processing time to ensure disbursement from escrow account is completed by the disbursement due month for timely tax payments to the taxing agency.
  • Plans for upcoming tax cycles by holding pre/post cycle meetings with business partners.
  • Seeks to learn and accommodate changes in property tax state statues/guidelines in order to effectively execute tax payments to taxing agency.
  • Effectively manages various aspects on tax processing; data acquisition, procurement, reporting, and payments in order to meet mortgage lender's SLA's.

Management reports/tracking

  • Accurately prepares SLA reports to mortgage lenders and direct Manager.
  • Manages the gathering and recording of the team's daily statistics and accurately prepare reports for Management.
  • Assists the Manager with establishing and monitoring productivity tracking/measurements standards.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years tax service and/or loan service experience or 12-18 months experience as a Tax Operations Lead or equivalent.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate/Advanced level in Microsoft Office 2007 applications, Core FTP, Windows Explorer, and file management knowledge is required. Must know how to use office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
  • Experience in AS400.

Experience in MSP, FiServ, and MortgageServ Servicing System.
