Description

The Proposal Writer/RFP Specialist will be a key member of the Ascentis Pre-Sales Team, which and is focused on supporting our Sales Team in RFP writing and management of the RFP database content. The ideal candidate will be able to work within tight deadlines and thrive working on multiple projects.

Centered around our cultural norms, you will collaborate closely with the Sales Team, Finance, Product Management, Marketing teams as well as other internal stakeholders to ensure the Sales Teams have the support needed to execute on RFP related deadlines and goals.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • Work with cross-functional teams to author, edit and produce accurate RFP and RFI within required deadlines
  • Manage complex bid projects from start to finish: manage through stages, provide updates to all invested parties, facilitate legal reviews (as required), and finalize all deliverables of the RFP
  • Create effective proposals and collateral documents for customers; willingness to comprehend that a standard answer must be tailored to meet specific customer needs
  • Manage and continually improve the process and tool set for efficiently and effectively producing high quality RFPs
  • Manage short timelines and multiple projects simultaneously while being extremely proactive in problem solving
  • Support maintenance and updating of proposal content via lessons-learned from in-flight and completed proposals
 
Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in RFP/Proposal writing, editing and proofing
  • Technical Skills: Experience with CRM and/or Proposal Management Software. Exceptional Microsoft Office skills- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong and active listening skills and overall communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Thrives in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments
  • Ability to be responsible, flexible, accountable and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, adapt and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Willing to use constructive feedback to make changes to proposals as needed
