Share Email Opening Title QC Inspector  Category Skilled Trades   Description Job Purpose: Maintains assurance and compliance with foundation, tower, and overhead wire placement and installation. Perform inspections on steel towers and poles as they are being constructed to ensure compliance with the construction specifications, standards and drawing. Work with tower and/or pole assembly crew personnel to obtain clarifications in the standards or drawings, as necessary. Document and communicate information other crews and members of the QA/QC team after receiving clarification on issues by a project representative. Document and report material shortages, damages, mis-fabricated pieces and overages in a timely manner. Perform inspections to ensure wire and wire hardware are being installed in accordance with the construction specifications, standards and drawings. May perform inspections to ensure steel caps meet construction specifications, standards and drawings and are installed in accordance with requirements. May perform inspections related to foundation installation and/or coordinate and assist with QA/QC inspections related to materials used in foundation design   Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in the maintenance, operation or construction of transmission line equipment and facilities. Demonstrated ability to maintain professional written and verbal communication skills Experience and ability to comprehend powerline related drawings and technical requirements Valid and unrestricted driver’s license Lift/carry up to 25 pounds Ability to traverse uneven, difficult terrain including steep slopes in remote locations where line is being constructed   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
