We are currently seeking an Experienced Banquet Manager to add to our Team.
The Banquet Housemen Manager is responsible for the overall Supervision of the Housemen -supervising the set-up and break-down of banquet events & meeting space in a safe and efficient manner. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job duties include but are not limited to:
Owning the full-cycle process of cleaning and setting of meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resumes and BEO's, or as given by Director of Banquets.
Vacuuming of floors, cleaning of walls, windows, and mirrors; proper care, movement, and storage of equipment, including tables, chairs, risers, dance floors and lecterns as required
Properly controlling and storing meeting room supplies, such as linens, pads, pens/pencils, and meeting amenities as required
Assisting in servicing meeting rooms by removing trash, clearing dirty plates, cups, glasses, and/or linens; straightening chairs; and replenishing water as specified or requested
Directly responsible for the Daily Operation and Supervision of the Housemen Department, Day to Day Operations, Hiring, Training, Supervising, Scheduling, Inventory Controls, Equipment Care and Maintenance, Banquet and Meeting Space Readiness and Cleanliness.
Inspects each function room prior to the event to ensure that both the client's needs are fulfilled and the hotel standards are met.
Responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with each meeting planner (in-house) to ensure that all last-minute requests and changes are provided.
Meets with banquet housemen on a daily basis to insure that uniform codes and personal hygiene requirements are met in accordance with department standards.
Reviews daily worksheet and assigns specific duties to each banquet House person.
Inspects each function room prior to, and during breaks to insure that all requirements reflected on the daily worksheets are met. Specific hotel standards must also be fulfilled.
Organizing and maintaining the back of the house areas to ensure a productive and safe environment.
In coordination with the Banquet Managers initiates appropriate disciplinary action for housemen who have committed infractions of the Rules of Conduct as stated in our Associate Handbook.
Ensures that all unused rooms are set to department's standards.
Candidate should also be: Computer Literate, have experience with Micros, have Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills, the ability to Discipline Staff when Necessary, be willing to Work a Flexible Schedule, and have a Fun Loving Attitude.

- High School Diploma required.
- 2+ years' experience as Set Houseman in a high volume, upscale Establishment.
- Must have exceptional guest service skills.
- Ability to stand (long period), stoops, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift.
- Ability to work flexible schedule. (Including weekends and holidays)
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment and have a strong attention to detail.
- Remain calm and professional at all times.
- Is able to make quick decisions and possess good judgment
- Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms.
