Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of IT Operations and Maintenance. The position will be located in Washington DC supporting EHS and our government customer.

The IT Operations and Maintenance position will provide technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Telecommunications (Video teleconferencing, audio teleconferencing).
  • Support user issues with Global OpenNet, Internet and other VPN connections.
  • Support user PC platforms including Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple macOS.
  • Support user mobile device platforms including Microsoft Windows and Apple iOS.
  • Support network server platform software including Microsoft (Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Systems
  • Management Server, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services, Microsoft SQL
  • Server, VMWare, and OpenNet/ClassNet infrastructures), and Linux (Apache, NginX, MySQL, Python, PHP).
  • Responsible for cloud operations, analysis, security and support to include Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCS, or other cloud service providers selected by ADG.
  • Design graphics for various multimedia formats – from typography and still images to web page navigation schemes to video and interactive multimedia content.
  • Provide assistance to users or other technical staff as required.
  • Provide performance metrics as required by the Government supervisor.
  • Undertake other related tasks as assigned by the Government supervisor.
  • Provide 24x7 technical support assistance (tier 3/4) for applications and systems that are already deployed and in operation.
Position Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Fully cleared to access Department of State FISMA Moderate systems immediately.
  • Knowledge of government standards for cybersecurity and information assurance, including encryption standards and the federal enterprise architecture (FEA) (required).
  • Experience in overseas US Government software development projects with remote teams across different countries and continents, and to have Department of State specific experience working with overseas mission staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud productivity suites, including Microsoft’s Office 365 and Google G-Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in web administration, network administration and server security in a Microsoft
  • Internet Information Server environment (required).
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of .NET MVC, .NET Web-Forms, Visual Studio, GIT, and applications (Required).
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C#, .NET, JAVASCRIPT, HTML, CSS and other coding languages for the development of web-based applications.
  • Knowledge of SQL and noSQL technology including legacy and cloud hosted databases (required).
  • Demonstrated experience with the technical and conceptual environment of web development, especially with tools relevant to interface design, the creation of interactive web pages, database connections, interactivity, and the creation of customized graphic images.
  • Training in the use of MS Project and MS Visio (required).
  • The ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences (required)
  • Ability to use web-based tracking systems for incident tracking and project management.
  • Extensive experience with backup/disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Extensive experience with web CMS, including WordPress, SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint online.
  • Experience using PC workstation operations in a Microsoft Office environment including MS Internet Explorer, MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint Designer, etc, as well as knowledge of Windows 10 Professional system internals such as the registry (required)
  • Experience with popular web browsers including Google Chrome, FireFox and Apple Safari (required).
  • Extensive knowledge maintaining Blackberries, iPhones, iPads, and other mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of existing Department and ADG applications to include but not limited to eContact, eMBC, Online Auctions and Arrivals and Departures System.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
