Team Leader - Addiction Treatment 


What are we looking for in a Team Leader?

The Team Leader on our Addiction Treatment team is responsible for overseeing staff and managing services for our outpatient medication-assisted treatment program for individuals who are opioid-dependent. Substance use treatment at Comprehensive is evidence-based and emphasizes harm reduction & continued progress toward each individual’s recovery goals. The Team Leader provides clinical supervision to the entire treatment team, including supervising SUDPTs working toward full licensure. The Team Leader also coordinates admissions & discharges, tracks clients’ treatment progress and access to care, ensures timely & thorough completion of clinical documentation, and assigns staff schedules. This role requires a confident clinician who is able to provide feedback and motivate others, so previous experience in a supervisory role may be helpful. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 5:30am-2pm.

Team Leader duties may include:

  • supervising program staff, including providing coaching and direction
  • managing team schedules and providing clinical treatment when needed
  • assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
  • ensuring all staff adhere to trauma-informed & recovery principles
  • completing substance use assessments, participating in treatment planning, and leading behavioral health groups when needed
  • tracking compliance with all applicable regulations and preparing for survey & license reviews or audits
  • making recommendations to the Chief Medical Officer to further develop the medication-assisted treatment program and enhance the delivery of care
  • completing all documentation in a respectful, client-centered manner
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related social science field. Six years of experience providing substance use treatment.

Credentials: Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification in Washington

Other Requirements: First Aid / CPR certification, driver's license, vehicle liability insurance
