STAT Informatic Solutions provides services in document imaging, release of information, revenue cycle management, and courier services exclusively to the healthcare industry. We understand the revenue cycle component of record management and focus on customization for each client.

We currently have a Document Courier/Document Processing Specialist position available in our Jackson, MS office. This is a combination of two roles. The Document Courier role is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of pick-up and drop-off of medical charts during their assigned courier routes. The Document Processing Specialist role is responsibile for the daily preparation, scanning, and indexing/verification of medical records, and for meeting daily production goals (pages per minute) within the processing timeline.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:30 PM-8 AM. The Courier role will be an "as-needed" basis.

Job duties may include a combination of the following:

• Long periods of time standing and walking (Courier)
• Display effective and professional communication with internal and external customers.
• Meet safely and timely pick-up and drop-off routes from office to facility and facility to office as needed (Courier).
• Check and receive in medical charts using daily discharge summary list.
• Prepare Patient Medical Charts for scanning based on guidelines established by HIM's director in timely manner.
• Responsible for scanning medical charts using a scanner making sure charts count balances per batch cover sheet.
• Verify and index batches of medical record charts into the computer and required software to release charts into work production queue.
• May be responsible for checking the production queue as needed.
• Assist with quality control and processing of reports as necessary.
• Participate in periodic team meetings as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and driving history background based on Hospital and Company guidelines and policies. Must have either a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Adhere to HIPAA and all company policies, guidelines, programs, and procedures. Display effective and professional demeanor at all times.
