This position coordinates and directs vessel and barge schedules and documents, performs terminal inventory planning, maintains the supply modeling, maintains documentations and ensures product quality.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Schedules and determines logistics of all vessels to maximize efficiency.
Works with vendors, facilities, and customers to address problems that arise during a voyage or cargo operation. This could include rerouting of vessels, changing quantities during a voyage, stopping a transfer, and adjusting customer orders.
Communicates schedule and plans with the carriers, counter parties, terminals and inspectors.
Nominates vessels to carriers, counter parties, terminals, inspectors, customers, brokers, ship agents and governmental agencies as applicable.
Obtains forecasts and orders from Director of Supply.
Attends tankers, barges, and facilities when needed to help facilitate operations.
Enters nominations in supply models, including sales orders, purchase orders, exchanges and transfers.
Uses models to track facility inventories and make supply projections.
Issues voyage orders.
Actualizes nominations (enters dates, quantities, and pricing after the fact).
Assists with EPA reporting compliance.
Completes all customs documentation for importing and exporting cargo
Communicates with customs agents to ensure equipment and personnel compliance
Distributes C of A's to terminals and customers, maintains records
Ensures tank and line prep instructions are communicated to carriers and terminals.
Procures additives and inventory.
Provides blending instructions to carriers and terminals.
Assists vessel cargo quality control, ensuring all products meet specifications.
Assembles the necessary information required when DW sub-charters a barge.
Helps to reconcile gains/losses on all marine transfers.
Familiar with the DW Tanker CPlan and attends ADEC Anchorage Tanker Inspections.
Obtains Spot Tanker CPlan approval and VRP coverage
Renews operating leases
Has QI responsibilities
Provides alternate coverage for Director of Supply.
