Tuning Technicians

Age Requirements The minimum age requirement for this position is 18.  

Seeking Ski Tuning Service Technicians who are responsible for providing quality tunes and repairs, and to offer informed customer service and ensuring the shop procedures are followed. This is both a technical and guest service position.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Service and repair customer merchandise according to established guidelines.
  • Recommend which tune will best benefit a guest's equipment, and be able to sharpen, wax and drill equipment.
  • Complete accurate paperwork and prioritize orders in an expedient manner.
  • Perform post incident rental fleet inspections and maintain proper paperwork.
  • Assist in generating sales with promotion suggestions and informing customers of their options to meet their individual needs.
  • Remain current on industry products, trends, and demonstrate knowledge.
  • Maintain all paperwork according to policy and procedure.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures regarding use of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure guests fully complete all forms before work is performed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and proper and safe storage of all equipment.
  • Maintain par levels of supplies, prepare order recommendations within budget.
  • Coordinate with rental staff to insure proper tuning of rental fleet.
  • Pass and maintain certification with all binding manufacturers.
  • Operate tuning equipment needed to tune skis and snowboards.
  • Assist the rental department during high volume periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
