General Position Description:

The Senior Director, Human Capital will serve as the primary source of planning and implementation of cultural, employee engagement and talent management programs primarily focusing on culture programs, performance management system administration, employee engagement and retention tracking and programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies the business's needs and sets the Human Capital priorities for the team around them. Develops Human Capital strategies to strengthen the talent and retention across the business.
  • Partners with the Centers of Expertise to develop solutions around talent development, recruitment, internal bench strength, engagement and recognition.
  • Develops solutions around creating a positive work environment.
  • Leads the employee relations area, ensuring fair treatment of employees, decisions are based on facts and company values and that proper protocol and processes are followed. Manages the case management system.
  • Provides advice to leaders around talent strategies, compliance and leadership decisions.
  • Coaches employees and leaders on personal effectiveness.
  • Improves HR processes for efficiency.

Working Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the Vice President, Human Capital.
  • Manages a team of Human Capital partners.
  • Works closely with business/operations leaders.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required. 7-10 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • 5 or more years of Management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Human Resources solutions to address business needs.
  • Strong experience in leading employee relations.
  • Experience in leading an organization’s on-boarding, performance management, talent review processes.
  • Ability to influence decision makers.
  • Project management experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Non-Center Based. Requires: the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), travel to Centers (if so, the noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens), and ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Guides leaders on employment related matters.
