On Premise Area Sales Manager - Tulsa 


Job Duties

  • Establish SWS & the Foremost Division as the broker of choice by becoming a true consultant with clearly demonstrated desire to build assigned retailer business.
  • In conjunction with Key supplier and SWS VP, develop annual account plans across all core brands that will deliver assigned depletion target.
  • Maintain maximum store inventories through effective communication and management of shipments.
  • Manage and execute programs to maximize distribution, SPA, OPR pricing, promotional and merchandising goals of SWS Foremost Division brands.
  • Provide brand support to account through POS sales materials, promotions, and non-alcohol sampling.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned ABC GM, Marketing Managers, District Managers and store staff to maximize SWS Foremost Division effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Foremost VP, Merchandisers, SWS management, and supplier market team to ensure optimal communication and execution.
  • Utilize available syndicated data (NABCA/Driver data) to identify opportunities for SWS Foremost Division and to add value for assigned market Identify and capitalize on marketplace competitive concerns and opportunity gaps.
  • Monthly & Quarterly Activities 30% of time spent on account calls.
  • Minimum of bi-monthly face-to-face meetings with assigned territory supplemented with weekly phone communication.
  • Sell SWS Foremost products using supplied account records to ensure that no category/brand, size are missed.
  • Work in concert with SWS Analyst, divisional VP and supervisors to present fact based data by category, brand, and size to ensure all potential opportunities are addressed.
  • 55% of time spent in market to ensure proper execution of plan as well as communicate competitive activity.
  • 15% of time spent on administrative duties, as assigned.
  • Office time in preparation for presentations.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews with regional supervisors and VP to identify opportunities and successes.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews with SWS management and suppliers.
  • Monthly recap of Merchandisers Report to VP.
  • Communicate and teach executional excellence expectations (floor, shelf, and counter) to merchandising team.
  • Develop and maintain an Account Profile and Account Facts books to facilitate sharing of knowledge with Key Supplier and ensure smooth transition for potential succession planning.
  • Manage T&E budget.
  • Manage Subordinates-duties but not limited to
  • Establish store rankings for call frequency purposes.
  • Spend minimum two days per month working with merchandiser to teach executional excellence expectations as well as ensuring quality of call.
  • Conduct meetings with Merchandiser to establish goals and ensure coordination of efforts.
  • Quarterly assessments of Merchandiser performance to roll in to annual review.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of data reporting systems (Diver), deletion, and market share reports.
  • Strong commercial understanding (i.e. Display/Merchandising, desired Price Points & Shelf Management Standard).
  • Strong understanding of consumer shopping behaviors. 2-3 years of CPG Sales, beverage alcohol preferred.
  • College Degree-BA or BS preferred. Computer competency required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, time management, fiscal management, and presentation skills required.
  • Maintain vehicle in a professional, efficient manner.
  • Must have valid driver license.
  • Must secure and maintain required company auto insurance.
  • Must reside in assigned territory.
  • Overnight travel required.
