Job Description: Apply your knowledge of compiler design, intermediate representations, code optimizations, assembly language, and hardware instruction sets to deeply understand cyber-security threats and how to engineer effective mitigations Work in small research teams to develop innovative software prototypes Develop research concepts from proposal through to implementation and transition Advance your career guided by STR’s core values: mastery, autonomy, and purpose   Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen) Proficiency writing in C, and familiarity with C++ and Python Desired Qualifications (one or more of these areas): Proficiency in compiler design and optimization Deep understanding of modern compilers, such as LLVM, GCC, and/or MSVC Experience building compiler extensions and/or debugging compiler-related issues Understanding of modern JIT compilers Operating system internals, particularly memory/process/thread management Experience performing static/dynamic/symbolic program analysis a plus Experience with graph theory as applied to taint tracking and data flows STR seeks to provide an outstanding work environment for its employees with excellent benefits and competitive compensation.
