Production experience required. Preferred Skills: Forklift certification Competencies and Skills: Mechanical ability Ability to read and communicate in English required. Must be a good verbal and non-verbal communicator. Active listening skills must be excellent – Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus. Basic math skills required. This includes arithmetic, (algebra & geometry is a plus). Attention to detail, ability to identify and resolve issues and discrepancies. Solid logic and reasoning skills are essential. This job requires operator to stand and walk . Must be able to lift between 50 to 75 pounds. The Machine Shop and Laser Room operations have several levels of Machine Operator classifications. These are defined by the skill levels achieved by the operator and the expectations outlined for each position. Starting with the Level 1 (entry level shop position) where all new hires are put into as a starting position for the shop operations, followed by Level 2 (Jr. Machine Operator), Level 3 (Sr. Machine Operator), & Level 4 (Lead Operator). This position operates machines to manufacture parts needed for assembly of FeraDyne's products. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Must be able to meet daily quantity standards on production on various machines Perform Quality checks on the machine(s) you are assigned to Perform tool changes when needed Keep a clean work place Wear appropriate PPE (Personal protection Equipment) Because of changes that may occur in manufacturing processes and/or methods, and because of quality or productivity requirements, associate may be required to perform additional job duties.
