About the Organization Red Oak Recovery, a CARF accredited program, is a premier clinically-driven therapy program for young adults and adolescents. We are here to serve clients, families, and other stakeholders through a very difficult time. Our team provides gender-specific treatment for young adults ages 18-30, and adolescent males 14-17 struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our licensed and experienced staff provide the most clinically sophisticated and integrative substance abuse and mental health treatment available.



As a small clinically-driven program we have the ability to meet each client where they are mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally to design a treatment experience that is unique to them.

Description

Red Oak Recovery® is located in the pristine Blue Ridge Mountains, just outside of Asheville N.C. We specialize in the treatment of young adult males, ages 18-30, and are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program. The leadership team of Red Oak Recovery® is made up of recognized experts in the field of mental health who specialize in the integration of wilderness and experiential therapy, substance abuse, trauma, and mental health treatment. We are always looking for qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping young adults through their recovery process, to join our Red Oak Recovery® team.

Qualified candidates will provide therapy for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, client education, discharge planning and referral, all of which will be reflected by accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities include:

  • Able to assess clients and develop treatment goals using client input, client strengths, needs and preferences
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
  • Accurately assess clients and develop individualized treatment goals, using client input, and client strengths, abilities, needs and preferences
  • Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in overcoming challenges
  • Produce assessments, treatment plans, and other records in a timely manner
  • Work in collaboration with other professionals as part of a treatment team
  • Document treatment plans, and other records in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring professionals
  • Initiate appropriate referrals to aftercare programs
  • Utilization review and asam for insurance companies
  • Accurate and timely completion of administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: weekly progress notes, insurance updates, communication with outside referral sources and attendance at weekly staffing
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Master’s degree in human service field
  • LCSW, LPC, or LCAS, or pursuing licensure
  • Experience in facilitating group therapy
  • Experience in substance abuse and trauma

Preferred Qualifications and Education requirements:

  • Dual licensed in both addiction and mental health treatment (or willing to seek both)
  • Experience working with young adults in an eco-therapeutic setting
  • Willing to seek LCSW
