The Ground Operations Assistant Station Manager is responsible for coordinating ground operations services such as aircraft handling, passenger services, air cargo operations, and other needed services as directed by the Station Manager. Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure the safety and security of OAI passengers, crew, and property while at the assigned work site
  • Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with all government regulations, company policies and procedures including, but not limited to; dangerous goods acceptance and handling, proper aircraft loading, flight security procedures, safety incident/ hazard reporting
  • Foster airport and local community relations as liaison with airport, city officials, FAA, police and fire departments
  • Coordinate airline vendor functions and act as liaison for local contracts providing service to Omni Air International, i.e. fueling, skycap, security, catering, cleaning and ground handling.
  • Participate in OAI’s Quality Assurance Program
  • Ensure all required company publications are current and accessible
  • Provide Ground Security Coordinator support when required by assignment
  • Monitor day-to-day performance of the station in order to ensure the safety, accuracy, and timeliness of services provided to Omni Air International
  • Keep all station facilities, equipment and activities in compliance with applicable Federal, State, local and Airport regulations, policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback, research and response to customer complaints/compliments in coordination with Customer Relations
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as assigned, in the capacity of a Ground Operations Representative.
Position Requirements


  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must hold a valid Passport
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Proficient computer skills are required
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and possess impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of aviation experience with knowledge of ramp operations
  • 3-5 years of supervision or management experience desired

  • Lifting – up to 75 lbs.


  • Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short-term basis (longer than one month)
  • Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the immediate work unit
  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters and/or conduct routine oral communication
