What are the characteristics we seek in a match for our IT Support Technicians?
Passion, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, an honest desire to provide service, and you should possess at least 2 years of experience supporting end-users in the following areas:
-2-3 years in an IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support role.
-Experience troubleshooting multiple Microsoft OS: Windows XP, Win 7 and Win 8
-Experience troubleshooting and replacing failed computing hardware on both desktop PC's and laptop computers (motherboards, NIC's, video cards, laptop monitors, laptop keyboards, etc.)
-Familiarity with Microsoft Servers lineup of products Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, 2010, 2013
-Knowledge and experience with Windows Active Directory domains (understands functions and benefits, can manage users, workstations and OU's)
-Some experience troubleshooting switches, routers and firewalls and a firm understanding of their roles
-Experience troubleshooting and working with several different software applications
-Experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing printers
-Understanding of Windows file and printer sharing
-Other applications to be well versed or familiar in: Anti-virus/Spyware applications, FTP clients, diagnostic tools (MsDart, Windows PE, Windows System Recovery, etc.)
-Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills (must be able to professionally communicate in a technical and non-technical manner to clients)
-Ability to perform multiple technical task at one time (take multiple calls, send emails, perform remote sessions with clients, etc.)
-Must be a self-starter willing to put in the hours when necessary to meet customer demands
In addition, you must demonstrate that you meet the following requirements:
You must have polished written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to be clearly understood in English and be able produce professional, grammatically correct correspondence.
You must be intent on furthering an actual career, not just looking for the next job.
You must have a valid license and the daily use of a car.
