This exciting opportunity is located at our Auburn Hill, MI location.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Development Process (SPDP)
  • Assure supplier understanding of product and submission requirements.
  • Resolve supplier quality problems by determining root cause
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning activities with suppliers Act as the Purchasing Quality liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, and the supplier.
  • Conduct process audits and Run-at-Rates on all required parts
  • Train suppliers on the quality and manufacturing philosophies utilized by Delphi
  • Resolve supplier quality problems during product development by determining root cause & implementing corrective actions timely.
  • Improve the quality performance of suppliers by conducting supplier workshops, improvement meetings, etc.
  • Manage critical supplier issues. Involve the greater organization as appropriate
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Support material cost reduction goals

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 10 plus years of experience in automotive supplier quality or plant quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years of Machining or Stampings
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • High level of computer skill; e.g. Excel, Access, and Word
  • Self-starter, must be capable of working with minimum direction or supervision
  • Proficiency in oral & written communications
  • Highly organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Working knowledge of Supplier Quality processes
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of Advance Product and Quality Planning Process
  • Knowledge of plant products, Mfg. Processes, and departmental relationships
  • Multi-staff experience
  • Knowledge / experience in quality tools, philosophies, and techniques
