The Internal Payroll team is responsible for supporting and implementing changes within the internal Paychex payroll offering which is the foundation for the Paychex online/mobile payroll solution as well as many other applications. We leverage a wide variety of technologies such as Java, JBoss, Jenkins, OpenShift, Docker, Oracle, Spring Boot, Kafka, and S3 Object Storage within our application. As an Automation Test Engineer II in Internal Payroll, you will design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts and test suites that are robust, performant, and reusable, enabling your Agile team to deliver high-quality releases more efficiently. What you can expect to do in this role? - Participate on an Agile team to deliver best-in-class technical testing solutions.
- Independently design, create, optimize, and refactor automated test scripts for client-server and web applications.
- Write and execute complex automated test suites related to: Web, SOAP and REST Web services, UI, database, functional, regression, smoke, black box, performance/load and end-to-end testing.
- Review and provide input on proposed new business requirements and their specifications and design documents to gain a thorough understanding of the application and/or infrastructure changes that are to be system and regression tested.
