At Visiting Nurse, we do require our team to be part of the solution to the spread of COVID-19. Description

The Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Manager will provide leadership and oversight to the performance improvement functions within the hospice program.. Responsibilities include maintaining and reporting outcomes of chart reviews, leading PI initiatives and activities within the hospice program, overseeing the efficiency of QI review procedures, providing education and training to the QI/PI team and others within the organization and ensuring that reimbursement is supported by the care and services documented by staff. The QA/PI Manager - Hospice is also responsible for overseeing the QA/PI program and ensuring it is in compliance with Hospice COPs, Georgia State Hospice regulations and Joint Commission Standards. Other responsibilities include chart reviews for all hospice charts sent out externally, active member of the Infection Control Committee , Infection trending and reporting, conducting Mock Surveys and oversight of hospice Medical Records.

Position Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent work experience.

Licensure/Certifications:  Must have current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing and valid CPR certification.  Must possess a current valid Driver’s license.

Previous Experience:  Requires two years of recent clinical experience with one year of hospice experience and/or supervisory experience.  Must be able to communicate effectively with hospice leadership/field clinicians.  Must have assessment skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills.   Strong customer service

Knowledge/Training: Knowledge of Hospice Conditions of Participation, Hospice State Regulations and Medicare/Medicaid and other payer requirements.

Computer Skills. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required. Must be able to use Microsoft office products.  Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop or laptop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars. Attentive to detail, demo. the ability to input data into a computer quickly and accurately.  

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
