About the Organization Hill Country Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Centers is a unit of local government and a not-for-profit, 501C provider of Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Veteran Peer Services throughout the greater Texas Hill Country Region. Hill Country MHDD Centers is designated to be the Mental Health Authority by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for a 19 County Service Area including: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde Counties. Job Title: Office Coordinator

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Center Director, the Office Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to ensuring smooth operations for all business functions of the IDD Special Opportunity Center (SOC). The SOC, located in Kerr County, is one of twelve HCMHDD Centers where services are provided for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. At the SOC, individuals participating in services are provided with one-on-one supports from dedicated Direct Support Professionals, Case Manager, and other clinical staff.

Qualified candidates for the Office Coordinator role must be able to demonstrate patience and a willingness to listen to individuals who participate in the services. A background in customer service is preferred but not a requirement. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner over the phone, when corresponding with colleagues, designated family members and other shareholders associated with the individuals care plan.

Academic / Work Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to Two years of administrative/clerical experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
  • Experience working in a medical setting (preferred)

  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Current Automobile Insurance
