Tuknik Government Services (TGS) is looking for an exceptionally well qualified Senior Data Analyst with experience in Department of Defense (DoD) logistic and supply cost rationalization for an exciting opportunity with our government client in Arlington, VA. This is an opportunity to be part of improving how the DoD manages sustainment costs to allow better support to the warfighter.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviewing the existing DoD sustainment cost systems for their functionality.
  • Document the requirements for a unified system.
  • Pilot processes to validate the requirements.
  • Provide a solid, validates set of requirements for this new system.
  • On behalf of Government Leadership coordinate with stakeholders or their staffs at all levels within DoD
  • Conducts gap analysis and determine downstream impact of system changes; furthermore, analyze the law, regulation and policy implications of those changes and propose solutions to any issues.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion often with deadline pressure
  • Coordinate joint efforts with other groups and offices and maintain accountability of all assigned tasks.
  • Prepare and assist in the development of briefings, multimedia presentations, white papers and informational memoranda.
Position Requirements


  • 12+ years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field. Master’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as data analysis and visualization – includes everything from quick analytical checks to deep analysis and display of results in Qlik, Tableau, or similar Business Intelligence software
  • Experience with business process re-engineering and process mapping using Visio a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to reconcile initiatives with business strategies and goals, competence with common financial analysis techniques
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to represent the interests and positions of DoD CIO, IC, other Federal entities, and Industry.
  • Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient Excel and Outlook application skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion
  • Comfortable in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
  • DoD Secret required.
  • DoD interim Secret clearance will absolutely be considered and if selected, upgraded to TS/SCI).

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
