Director Meat and Seafood

Position Summary:

Responsible to direct retail operations, promotions for meat and seafood merchandising. Ensure department merchandising plans, programs, strategic initiatives, achieve budgeted sales, margins, and customer satisfaction. Five years retail experience with meat/seafood merchandising.

Duties and Responsabilities

  • Direct meatand seafood merchandising operations and promotions to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets. Responsible for P&L management.
  • Responsible for the training, development and growth of department leadership in all retail locations.
  • Oversee the analysis of financial data to accurately plan, budget and forecast promotions, and post-promotions analysis to measure program effectivennes, and changes for future execution of plans accordingly.
  • Maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally, and develop collaborative effors for increased market share, customers loyalty and profitability
  • Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements to enchance merchandising plans and work cross-functionallity(i.e., Distribution. IT, Pricing, Accounting, Procurement, etc.)
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best merchandising practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

knowledge, Skills Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to effectively manage internal and external business relationships and work collaboratively. Excellent organization, prioritatization, project mamagement, analytical and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and financial/busines acumen skills. Demostrate knowledge of merchandising and procurement principles and skills, and in depth knowledge of meat/seafood merchandising. Profficient in Microsoft office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
