Schedules dates, provides customer service to clients, interfaces with vendors by phone fax and email.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following.

  1. Communicates with customers and corporate accounts by phone, email, and fax;
  2. Participates in meetings with clients and corporate accounts locally;
  3. Schedules pack/delivery dates with both domestic and international agents;
  4. Client customer service;
  5. Issues export documents;
  6. Tracks shipments;
  7. Runs reports, including, but not limited to, Status Reports;
  8. Uses freight software, a.k.a., Traxx;
  9. Tracks shipments by phone and internet;
  10. Data entry;
  11. Contracts with agents, truckers, airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, insurance agents, and third party service providers;
  12. Order pre move surveys;
  13. Supply job cost summary for all services;
  14. Local travel;
  15. Corporate account customer service;
  16. Analyze pre move surveys;
  17. Participates in meetings with corporate accounts internationally;
  18. International travel;
  19. Constructs transportation plans;
  20. Audits carrier invoices;
  21. Writes corporate shipping/transportation policy;
  22. Administer quality control;
  23. Negotiate pricing with sea carriers; air carriers, domestic and internation movers
  24. Negotiate pricing with truckers;
  25. Negotiate pricing with customs brokers;
  26. Prepare rates for responses to RFP's for clients;
  27. Establishes and maintains relationship with corporate accounts;
  28. Manages moves to/fr all regions;
  29. Leads meetings with corporate accounts locally;
  30. Leads meetings with corporate accounts internationally;
  31. Carrier rate negotiation -advanced level;
  32. Contracting - advanced level;
  33. Analyzes reports complex;
  34. Writes reports - simple;
  35. Problem solving complex/advanced;
  36. Constructs client quotations complex/advanced;
  37. Enforces corporate shipping policies complex/advanced;
  38. Counseling corporate accounts on relocation policy;
  39. Coordinates collections with COD clients;
  40. Negotiate pricing with insurance carriers;
  41. Write, edit, format RFP's for vendors;
  42. Write response to RFP's for client;
  43. Resolves complaints complex/advanced;
  44. Write status reports;
  45. Manages door to door international shipments - advanced;
  46. Filing;
  47. Other duties as assigned;

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Four year degree from an accredited university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid Driver’s License and a U.S. Passport for International Travel.
