A day in the life… Support the release management process, ensuring that all production changes and releases of in-house and third-party applications are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures Develop and manage the CI/CD pipeline for multiple applications Development of automation scripts and scheduled jobs Provide hands on technical support for business applications and processes Validate the data operations and data integrity across multiple platforms Validate system health and application availability Respond timely to technical tasks and Customer requests Effectively prioritize and manage the resolution of Customer requests including pro-active communications, responsive follow through, and advocacy for Customer requests Participate in Defect / Incident Management and processes. Perform root cause analysis, resolution, and reporting. Through-out development process until Customer Acceptance Collaborate extensively with peers, Business Analysts, Development, Infrastructure teams, and other business units   Position Requirements What we are looking for… Required Expertise in vRealize Automation and Orchestration (vRO/vRA) Experience in workflow automation processes and enabling applications Experience with VMware VRealize Automation Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent Experience with application servers, PGP, GPG and protocols such as MQ, IIS/Apache; FTP, SFTP, SCP Experience with source code management is a plus Working knowledge with but not limited to SQL queries, Bash, Batch, PowerShell, Perl, Python, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, JSON or VBScript • Working experience with building packages and container technologies. (e.g. Debian, Docker, Cloud Formation) Linux administration and Windows administration experience are required Version control systems experience (GIT or equivalent) CI/CD pipeline creation process and technology (Jenkins, Maven, etc.) Core Competencies Passion for learning innovative technologies Ability to break down problems and identify all their facets Flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done Effective communication skills both internally and externally Highly organized and detail oriented Optional A working understanding of code and scripting (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby) Knowledge of best practices and IT operations (ITSM) Experience with ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, etc.) a plus What you’ll get… A career with a company where you will be challenged, respected, and valued.
