Description

The Tax Research Supervisor analyzes and leverages workload according to the strengths of employees and outsourcers. The role provides leadership on workflow and is a Subject Matter Expert regarding the implementation process. The position demonstrates best practices and develops the team by sharing practical knowledge to elevate the team's understanding and execution tax research.

Assignments:

  • Develops, evaluate and improves reporting capabilities, leverage employee and sub-contractors strength each day to get the most out of the team's productivity
  • Analyzes and plans resources, workflow, and anticipates and manages change
  • Anticipates customer needs by reviewing and learning what work types we will get when and the approximate amount

Exercise Financial Rigor:

  • Regularly reviews work and resources, and initiates changes to maximize productivity and efficiency and reduce errors and re-work

Manage performance:

  • Provides consistent feedback to employees to ensure that they always know where they stand in terms of productivity and re-work, error rate and the constant requirement to continuously improve
  • Coordinates with Operations teams to ensure understanding and alignment of client specific processing guidelines
  • Monitors overall performance and take appropriate action with Operations teams

Write procedures and train employees:

  • Coordinates training for new hires as well as regular training as changes occur with taxing jurisdictions, or clients expectations and requirements
  • Supervises and reports quality control issues
  • Documents client information and recurring issues to support product quality programs and product development
 
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency in all programs of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Work and Excel
  • Vast understanding of property tax service functions, tax law, and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of LERETA products and services
