Tuknik Government Services is seeking a Receptionist/General Clerk I to work with our Federal client in the Harper’s Ferry, WV area. This is a direct, full time position supporting TGS and our government client.

Harpers Ferry Center’s receptionist services require that all visitors and employees be greeted with a positive attitude and cheerful demeanor while ascertaining the visitor(s) business and verifying their identification as they enter the building. All visitors shall wait in the reception area until the employee, being visited, is contacted and arrives to escort their visitor.

In addition, the Contractor shall:

  • Provide information for a variety of dispersed buildings located throughout the Harpers Ferry Center Complex, including the Lewis Anthony building, Bird Brady House, Administrative Annex, Curtis Memorial Church, Mather Training Center, Cook Hall, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Maintenance, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Appalachian Trail Park Office, Willow Springs satellite office, Charles Town Warehouse.
  • Maintain a register of all visitors to the buildings and issue temporary visitor identification badges. The NPS will furnish a logbook for the purpose of registering visitors into the building. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that all visitors have official business before granting door access and register upon entry into the building.
  • Answers the main telephone for the HAFC Complex and either transfers the caller to the proper extension or takes messages and relays information with clarity.
  • Receptionist shall follow all established security procedures and policies.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras to identify any suspicious activities and concerns, which will be immediately reported by calling the National Capital Region Communications Center at (866) 677-6677. The General Clerk II shall follow all established security procedures and policies.
  • Receptionist services are required from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and shall unlock the main front entrance by 8:00 a.m. each morning, five days a week, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
  • Receptionist takes reservations for GSA motor pool vehicles, assigns vehicles, prepares associated paperwork and emails Facilities, Services and Property any vehicle condition complaints.
