GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is focused primarily on promoting Services Group offerings to network organizations, and assisting in maintaining efficient operation of the division by handling production of printed materials required by our business units. Additionally, this position coordinates external events (conferences and trade shows) for the division and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with outside graphic designer and printer to produce and mail brochures and other print pieces to promote training events.
  • Coordinate logistics around Services Group and NeighborWorks presence at industry conferences and trade show. Serve as back-up attendee when requested.
  • Produce and maintain stock of standard materials used by other units (certificates, tent cards, trade show premiums, etc.). Handle production of Realizing the American Dream and Keeping the American Dream, and coordinate shipment to fulfillment vendor. Work with vendor to ensure that stock is available.
  • Develop and distribute information via electronic communication sources that target NeighborWorks network audiences (e.g., NetWorks, the network members-only website) to promote participation in Service Group offerings.
  • Manage the information flow with regard to partnerships for continuing education credit programs (e.g., AICP) that are strategic opportunities to promote NeighborWorks training and professional development.
  • Coordinate trafficking, production, editing and formatting of materials related to the operation of our events, devoting special focus to the Community Leadership Institute and the NeighborWorks Executive Symposium.
  • Create and maintain a Marketing Team project calendar to be shared internally, supporting coordinated efforts, and throughout the division, to ensure staff is informed about our timelines and efforts.
  • Serve as the marketing point person for daily operation of TEAM (updating records, etc.), and our new enterprise database
  • Provide on-site assistance at training events as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications:

(a) Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related area

(b) Experience: 2-5 years' experience in marketing, communications, website maintenance, email marketing and customer service, or any combination of training, education or experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below

(c) Licenses, Certifications: N/A

(d) Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of online marketing environment (web content development, banner ads, social media, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills for communication with internal staff and training participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and ability to respond to quickly changing situations
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills, and the ability to think through effective and efficient solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and project leadership.

(e) NeighborWorks America Staff are expected to demonstrate excellence in the following:

(f) Technology: Proficiency in MS Office Suite software. Experience with HTML, DreamWeaver, Kentico or another Web application, and Adobe Creative Suite, preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience and knowledge of and interest in community development preferred.

Working Conditions:

(a) Travel: Travel up to 10% (4 times per year for up to 7 days at a time)

(b) Physical/Sensory Demands:

  • Fast-paced working environment.
  • Extensive computer usage.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
