Position Summary

Under supervision, the Program Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties to support Slipstream’s programs.

About Slipstream's Training and Technical Services team:

With more than 100 years of combined experience, we have developed and delivered effective energy efficiency training and technical support for commercial and residential building professionals for nearly 40 years.

Our team's expertise includes curriculum development; live and online programming including technical workshops, conferences, leadership summits, webinars, quizzes, and videos; environmentally responsible event planning; website development, event marketing, registration, learning evaluation, and customer service; and accreditation to support professional certification and licensure requirements.

Primary and Essential Responsibilities

  1. Perform administrative duties including but not limited to: typing and formatting documents, general data entry activities, assembling program materials for mailings, workshops and other functions. Order & maintain office supply stock and reconcile invoices. Assist with other program activities as needed.
  2. Maintain setup for conference and training room activities, which may include preparing or arranging for refreshments and/or lunches, and post - meeting cleanup.
  3. Provide customer service to include:
    1. Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries.
    2. Conduct research necessary for customers and respond accordingly.
    3. Assist with scheduling meetings, tasks, et
    4. Troubleshoot issues or concerns for customers
  4. Assists with front desk duties as needed
  5. Actively participate as a member of assigned workgroups
  6. These responsibilities are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned from time-to-time.
 
Position Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. High School education or equivalent
  2. 1-3 years of administrative support and customer service work experience to include the following:
    • Enter information in multiple databases.
    • Create and file reports and documents utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Prioritize assigned work and meet tight deadlines
    • Respond to customer inquiries
    • Provide support to management staff and members of a team
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Proficient use of Microsoft office Suite or comparable software.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly understand and meet analytical needs.
  6. Advanced knowledge of and ability to work with complex relational datasets and/or databases.
  7. Excellent organizational, task prioritization, and time management skills

Additional Requirements

  1. Valid drivers license and ability to drive a Chevy Express truck (no CDL required)
  2. Ability to travel up to 25% (mainly within WI)

  • Occasionally required to walk or stand, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl and climb stairs
  • Ability to sit for lengthy periods
  • Use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms
  • Use tools or controls
  • Talk or hear, taste or smell
  • Occasionally lift or move 25 lbs
  • Use close vision, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth, and adjust focus
