Description

Summary of Duties

The Program Engineer will work as part of the world wide program team. For assigned models and programs, the Program Support Associate Engineer will:

  • Provide corrective solutions to the fleet in collaboration with Dassault Aviation in regards to airworthiness and technical fleet-wide issues;
  • Provide support to the Command Center, Field Service Representatives, Service Centers, Vendors, Repair Agents and/or Customers in regards to fleet-wide concerns/questions;
  • Deliver information to Customers through letters, articles, and presentations (Seminars, Customer meetings…);
  • Advocate for the needs of Western Hemisphere Customers;
  • Collaborate actively with coworkers and all Customer Service Departments

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

For assigned models and programs, the Program Engineer will:

  • Monitor the fleet airworthiness;
  • Monitor and analyze fleet activity to identify potential issues;
  • Substantiate corrective actions in collaboration with Dassault Aviation in regards to airworthiness and fleet-wide issues;
  • Ensure that the operational, maintainability and regulatory impacts of technical issues regarding the western hemisphere (W/H) fleet are represented in the Product Support Agenda (PSA) process.
  • Write PSA Phase 1 synthesis upon fleet issue identification;
  • Manage and/or coordinate PSAs as necessary;
  • Coordinate High Profile Customers projects;
  • Provide support to the Command Center, Field Service Representatives, Service Centers, Vendors, Repair Agents and/or Customers in regards to fleet-wide concerns/questions;
  • Write letters to Customers;
  • Write technical articles published on Falcon Portal website;
  • Provide technical reports and executive summaries upon request;
  • Develop and deliver presentations at customer meetings and company seminars;
  • Review documentation for technical accuracy, spelling, grammar, and readability prior to customer release;
  • Attend and prepare regular meetings with Dassault Aviation (Support meeting, Logistics meeting, Commercial meeting, Stand-Up meeting etc..);
  • Provide on-site customer assistance as required;
  • Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with W/H customers and/or DAS facilities on behalf of Dassault Aviation;
  • Collaborate actively with his coworkers within Engineering Support Department and within Dassault Aviation in France (RSP, “Responsable Support Programme”, equivalent of the Program Specialists);
  • Act as a Dassault Falcon representative to W/H industry groups (e.g. NBAA tech committee, Air Transport Association, WAMA, PAMA, etc…) as necessary;
  • Interact with the FAA as necessary regarding requests for information related to Falcon maintenance programs and other technical issues;
  • Act as a focal point for all DFJ departments providing input on technical issues related to program support;



MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree with emphasis on aviation industry or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in technical aspects of aircraft support or system design
  • Must speak fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs;
  • Able to present technical information in a formal setting;
  • Interpersonal skills: must be a team player with a cooperative and helpful nature;
  • Multitasking and priority management skills;
  • Able to manage standard projects without supervision;
  • Ability to find solutions and/or alternatives/workaround in the best interest of our customers and the company;
  • Able to apply standard processes, procedures, and criteria to assigned tasks;
  • Able to perform independent research and investigations;
  • Domestic and international travel required (approx. 5-10%)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Falcon aircraft;
  • Aircraft Engine/APU/Integrated Power Plant Systems experience
  • Aircraft Options/Completions experience
  • Experience in Customer Support
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations;
  • A&P license or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of Avionics;
  • Experience in system/component failure analysis and/or aircraft system maintainability and reliability analysis;
  • Knowledge or experience with 3D design software (i.e. CATIA V4/V5);
  • Familiarity with the French language;
  • Experience in tools like SIEBEL, CAMP, FileMaker, Exalead etc...
