Share Email Opening Title Proposal Manager (2019-108)  Astronics Subsidiary AES   Location Kirkland   Description JOB SUMMARY The overriding business objective for the Proposal Manager (PM) will be to enhance and expand our position as a world-recognized leader in aircraft electrical power systems for small to mid-sized business jets, UAV’s and rotorcraft. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead new business proposals. Manage external customer expectations, communications and deliverables Resolve problems both internal and with the customer for both technical and commercial issues. The successful PM will leverage their problem resolution, communication and project management skills to resolve both technical and commercial issues with internal and external customers. Lead product development technical and commercial proposal activities. Develop standardized proposal presentation, pricing and review templates and procedures. Develop recurring and non-recurring cost/price estimates Develop program/project non-recurring and recurring history. Review proposals for content and accuracy. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with engineering, operations, upper management and external customers. This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS/BA degree and 8 years related experience or minimum 12 years equivalent work experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS; Aerospace industry experience required Extensive background developing new project plans/schedules Comprehensive experience developing non-recurring and recurring cost/price estimates Considerable involvement with review, understanding, analysis, comment and impact assessment of Customer Statements of Work, Specifications, Product Support Agreements, Contract Terms and Conditions Experience in contract negotiations, including SOW/Specifications/Product Support Agreements/Terms and Conditions Broad customer interface experience Experience developing and working with financial data (Forecasts, Revenue, IRAD, IRR, ETCs/EACs, etc.) Extensive experience working with product cost/should cost, labor and material estimating ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
