Purpose of Job:
The Customer Care Data Specialist (CCDS) is responsible for customer data set up and maintenance. The position ensures that customers are set up in the defined service level agreement and ensures that the customer master data is being properly controlled (visibility to data), maintained, and synchronized with complimentary systems/applications.
This position requires a broad knowledge of computer software and data entering skills to input data into the LIMS, CRM and JDE and generate special reports. Technical computer acumen is required to identify and troubleshoot data integration issues that may occur between synchronized systems. A basic knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful to effectively assign proper test codes. Organizational skills are required to keep track of all customer set up requests and documentation. Time management skills are required to ensure that customer set ups are completed efficiently based on the service level agreements prior to samples arriving at the labs. Written and oral communication skills are essential to obtain or clarify set up instructions with customers. General office skills are useful to complete faxing, filing, and other related duties for the department.
