Description

PacArctic, LLC is looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Project Manager for three government facilities all located in the same complex.

The Project Manager is responsible for the performance of small non-technical projects or a definable portion of a larger program of which domain area is of a non-technical nature, such as budgets, procurement, technical writing, supply chain management.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Licensed in HVAC required.
  • Licensed Gas Fitter preferred.
  • Building sub-system repair experience.
  • Ability to oversee and mentor other mechanics.
  • Active clearance or MRPT or ability to be cleared at MRPT level.
  • Responsible for effectively managing and leading a team of employees comprised of various Maintenance, Production Control Clerk, Mechanics and Custodians to deliver contractual requirements.
  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of program policies, processes, procedures and monitoring the achievement of program objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Responsible for coordination with vendors providing service for the contract (i.e. landscaping/snow removal, etc.)
  • Coordinates efforts with various program departments, to include Operations, Finance, and corporate support teams including Recruiting and Procurement.
  • Researches and analyzes operational, financial, and administrative data to assist in the cost efficient, effective projects (i.e. Replace front stairs leading to building, re-carpet 6,000 sq. feet of existing space, replace A/C unit, etc.)
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Collects and analyzes information and prepares reports regarding program metrics and operational activities.
  • Prepares and approves Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols and other technical documentation.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, inventory management, personnel evaluation and support.
  • Must have ability to execute Reimbursable Work Authorizations per Government standards.
  • Develop Independent Contractor Estimates (ICE) for the CORS comparative analysis of contractors' proposals.
  • Perform quality control inspections.
  • Collect and submit subcontractor submittals.
 
Position Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience and 2 – 6 years of experience.
  • Licensed in HVAC.
  • Gas Fitters license preferred.
  • Able to offer hands-on experience to fix, maintain existing equipment at facilities (i.e. HVAC, door hinges, lighting, etc.)
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Active MRPT preferred.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Includes travel to local, remote and out of state locations.
