This is a good fit for an Engineer that wants to do more hands on project work. As Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation and Control Systems, you will be a key link in the development and delivery of control systems and technical services to Cogent customers. Responsible for multiple aspects of the development, field installation, start-up, troubleshooting and service of the various equipment control systems offered by the Cogent family of companies. Successful candidates have the ability work both independently and in a team environment to build long term customer relationships. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Two-year degree from a technical college or vocational school with coursework related to industrial electrical control systems, process instrumentation and automation systems. Four-year Engineering Degree Preferred Excellent communications and customer service skills Strong computer literacy Work without direct supervision Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills Strong problem solving skills Detail oriented high level of accuracy and quality control Proven initiative and work ethic Establish and adjust work schedule to meet project requirements and emergency service requests   Position Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation and Control Systems   Position Requirements Minimum 3 years working field experience as a field service Engineer / Technician with specific work experience to include Installation, commissioning and calibration of instrumentation and process control systems Programming, commissioning and troubleshooting VFD variable Frequency drives, motor controls Custom control panel design, assembly, installation, modification and service Electrical installation of equipment including conduit and wiring infrastructure Strong familiarity with SCADA Systems, PLC’s programmable logic controllers, wireless communication and remote monitoring systems Travel requirements 60% daily travel & 40% overnight travel Creative, entrepreneurial and industrious people are Cogent’s most valuable asset.
