Position Summary

Under supervision, the Marketing Projects Manager contributes to the success and increases the efficiency of specific programs at Slipstream. This involves day-to-day facilitation and oversight of marketing and outreach deliverables.

Primary and Essential Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate, track, and provide leadership for the coordination and development of effective communications materials for clients.
  • Oversee the coordination and tracking of communications materials and ensure appropriate deadlines are met
  • Track projects and program changes to identify, strategize and develop communications efforts
  • Work with Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications and the Marketing Managers to ensure production costs do not exceed available budgets
  • Report goals, spending and status of marketing efforts
  • Lead marketing production efforts for clients. This may include social efforts, email communications, PR, outreach, web, and creative print, digital, or other pieces
  • Serve as copywriter and content creator across multiple media platforms (print, radio, web, etc.). Write using a distinct voice as required for specific target audiences.
  • Identify media outlets for advertising, press releases and promotions
  • Provide guidance to clients related to event-specific sponsorships and advertising
  1. Provide support to the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications and the Marketing Managers
  • Proactively seek information from sources (call center, web sites, etc.) regarding tracking of marketing campaigns and adjust marketing efforts accordingly
  • Provide background information and project research as needed
  • Proactively look for ways to improve marketing and outreach efforts
  • Assist with various administrative tasks such as, but not limited to: email/postal distribution lists management, cooperative advertising efforts, weekly and monthly reports and item requests
  • Organize and lead client marketing campaigns and keep programs, partners, utilities and necessary stakeholders updated with marketing efforts (status, ROI, etc.)
  • Coordinate joint efforts with other programs, utilities and/or community groups, etc.
  1. Market development and research in experience areas
  • Proactively conduct research, attend meetings, etc. that contribute to learning and implementation of new marketing techniques, strategies, tactics or other as assigned
  • Measure and evaluate success or improvements of suggested tactics, technologies, tools, etc.
  1. Actively participate as a member of assigned workgroups.
  1. These responsibilities are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned from time-to-time.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications with projects that contribute to overall success of Slipstream
  2. Represent Slipstream and its clients at trade shows and events
 
Position Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations and/or communications, or related field and/or commensurate experience
  2. 3-5 years of work experience in project management including
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal direction
  1. Ability to develop marketing and public relations plans and manage budget for respective projects
  2. Web-based experience to include marketing with social media
  3. Fluent verbal and written communication skills including proofreading with high attention to grammar and verbal and written presentation
  4. Proficiency using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as familiarity with Adobe products
  5. Demonstrated problem solving skills – ability to use independent judgment
  6. Strong negotiation skills

Beneficial Skills and Experience

  1. Knowledge of InDesign or other graphic design products
  2. Knowledge of the creative development process
