Description

Essential Funtions

Accounts Receivable

  • Assists in the collection efforts of accounts receivable by calling or emailing customers in a professional manner regarding open invoices, and keeping track of their progress in an organized manner.
  • Assists in matching supporting detail to invoices and placing in envelopes during monthly billing process.
  • Assists the Accounting Department with the preparation and processing of daily cash deposits to the appropriate bank accounts.
  • Assists in preparing journal entries with detailed backup for review.
  • Files journal entries and other backup or support in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manages collections and reporting to management.

Miscellaneous

  • Updates customer information and provides daily and/or weekly updates through internal reporting to management.
  • Assists in the collection efforts of accounts receivable; calling or emailing customers in a professional manner regarding open invoices, keeping track of their progress in an organized manner.
  • Reviews procedures currently in place and recommends process improvements specifically for Collections and for other functions as necessary.
  • Tracks performance total for weekly/monthly collections goals and related DSO Metrics.
  • Cross trains within the Accounting team in order to assist with various responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting department.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
