Tuknik Government Services (TGS) is looking for a highly qualified Facilities Management Support Specialist to support TGS and our government client, the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC), in Arlington, VA. This is a direct, full time position with our company supporting our government client.

The Facilities Support will coordinate with WHS to support and manage the continued growth of the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center and it’s DoD facilities space needs. This position requires an experienced person with demonstrated facilities management expertise, superior professional demeanor, and the ability to learn and accomplish a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities that ensure program success.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the WHS Facilities Leasing Office for all current and future office space requirements.
  • Ensure requirements and expected requirements are documented, coordinated and with WHS.
  • Ensure facilities meet organizational needs.
  • Manage the planning, purchasing, receiving and distribution of supplies across all locations.
  • Develop short and long-term plans based on JAIC growth and future needs.
  • Develop and implement facility policies and procedures, while managing budgets, schedules, and priorities.
  • Manage all facility spending activities to include development and maintenance of an annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Identity opportunities for cost savings on equipment, materials and supplies. Gather and analyze data and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Review and approve all facility-related invoices.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility inspections for all facilities.
  • Plan, coordinate, oversee and monitor all office space allocations, layout and facility build-out and/or expansion needs.
  • Anticipate and address facility and leased property needs and take appropriate action when needed.
  • Oversee all external maintenance, repair, housekeeping, and food-service vendors for all facilities, to include contract negotiation and management.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion often with deadline pressure
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field
  • Experience as a Facilities Manager for OSD organizations, DoD, or other government facility.
  • Ability to interact with WHS Leasing Personnel particularly as it relates to strategic space planning initiatives.
  • Ability to handle all phases of office build-out and construction projects.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of vendor/contractor personnel, as well as communicate effectively with internal customers, members of TGS’s Leadership Team, and Executives.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA requirements, training and reporting
  • Ability to uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Must be a US Citizen, hold a current DoD Top Secret Clearance, and have the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
