Job Details:

The successful Recruiter will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are sourcing and hiring the best possible talent companywide.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans

  • Work with hiring mangers on recruiting planning meetings

  • Create and manage job descriptions

  • Lead the creation of a recruiting plan for each open position

  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions

  • Conduct regular follow-up with owner to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation

  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of the need

  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates

  • Post openings to online advertisements, with professional organizations and in other position appropriate venue

  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment

  • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources

  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment

  • Use social and professional networking sits to identify and source candidates

  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees

  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates for all positions

  • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally

  • Create contacts within the electrical industry both locally and nationally

  • Attend local professional meetings and memberships development meetings

  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates

  • Coordinate and implement college and high school recruiting initiatives

  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition

  • Develop working relationships within colleges and high schools to aid in recruiting

  • Give presentations at colleges and high schools, attend student group meetings, and increase college and high school awareness of the company before and after career fairs

  • Coordinate with owner for the development of career paths to aid in employee retention and job enrichment

  • Work with field management to project future manpower trends and needs for all levels and skills across the company

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements

  • Conduct prescreening interviews when required

  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System

  • Maintain all education and training records in the Human Resources Information System

  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees

  • Interviewing and selecting employees

  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages

  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages

  • Perform other special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years minimum experience in recruiting

  • Electrical experience a plus

  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish

  • Proven people and process management skills

  • Knowledge of reporting procedures and employment laws

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong hiring, standards development, and process improvement skills

  • Proficiency in employee engagement, retention, and teambuilding

  • Must have initiative, be a team player and adapt to duties assigned
