The Solution Consultant works as part of a strategic selling team by being the product expert during the sales cycle and conducting dynamic and engaging product demonstrations for Workforce Management and Human Capital Management technology.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

Our pre-sales team works in a high paced environment with their main responsibilities lying in supporting the sales cycle during the evaluation period. A typical day would include product demonstrations and discovery calls, as well as preparation for the demonstration. Each Solution Consultant is assigned a specific team of sales professionals to support. This helps with ongoing working relationships and promotes a strategic team approach to the sales opportunities. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaboratively develops and delivers compelling software demonstrations and presentations.
  • Works closely with potential clients to fully uncover and understand their critical business issues & requirements in looking for a new software partner.
  • Contributes to a repository and assisting in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) / or Information (RFI) for Ascentis solutions.
  • Coordinates and works with members of the extended Ascentis organization to research and confirm the best answers to select questions
  • Supports the Account Executives/Managers/Channels & Partners by providing product/subject matter expertise.
  • Use your creatively to continuously enhance demo environments making sure we are presenting the solution in the most compelling manner to prospects.
  • Partner with Product Management and other key stakeholders to provide product feedback and ensure that key features and functions are added to the software roadmap.
 
Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the WFM/HCM industry
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven successful sales experience, preferably in a pre-sales capacity doing presentations/demonstrations
  • Strong self-starter with the desire and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced technology environment
  • A natural born leader and pioneer willing to explore new markets and ideas
  • Proven success in penetrating new markets and closing new business
  • Ability to build rapport, establishing trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up
  • Deliver dynamic and compelling business presentations/demonstrations either in person or virtually
  • Fast learner who is results-driven with proven ability to sell and project a positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to accurately forecast based upon realistic opportunity assessments
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values and culture
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Approximately 25% travel
