Description

The Ascentis Marketing team is made up of driven professionals who came to Ascentis because they want to build something great that will make a lasting and measurable impact on the organization. The Ascentis Marketing Specialist will be a key member of the marketing team and the primary responsibility is to create, manage and own various marketing projects that support strategic and tactical marketing and sales initiatives. This position requires high-level problem solving, independent judgment and some technical experience while exemplifying our cultural norms.

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

Webinar Program: We have one of the largest webinar programs in our space with over 50,000 people registering last year! Our program includes multiple planned webinars a month focused on HR, Payroll and Thought Leadership topics. Responsibilities include:

  • Procure new speakers/presenters with regular outreach through email, phone calls and social media.
  • Review speaker presentations and moderate webinars.
  • Manage all aspects of the program including:

1) Planning each quarter’s webinars strategically to align with quarterly marketing themes and initiatives.
2) Pre-event logistics and communications like invitation emails, registration pages, website updates, social media postings and collaboration with presenters including finalizing content.
3) Execute the webinars: Launch and host the webinars, respond to audience questions and emails, support the presenter with any needs.

4) Post webinar execution: Complete follow-up activities for attendees, provide leads to relevant teams, report on success metrics, generate and post the on-demand webinar online, manage the webinars inbox and follow-up with attendees on professional credits earned from attending.

Event Marketing: We support our sales and customer success teams with multiple local trade shows, association shows, and thought leadership shows each month.

  • Collaborate, coordinate, and execute events each month to ensure an unsurpassed experience for clients, prospects and staff attending each event.
  • Communicate with staff before each event on expectations/timelines, during events on additional needs, and post events to gather feedback.
  • Manage logistical aspects of events including vendor registration, any event site or app needs, ordering furnishing/supplies, shipping, etc.
  • Proactively identify speaking opportunities at local and industry events, work with subject matter experts to identify potential topics, and manage submission process.
  • Manage the inventory needs of giveaways at the booths including gifts, collateral, and trade show assets.
  • Willingness and desire to attend shows on occasion (travel: Less than 10%)

Social Media: We have a busy marketing programs calendar, and social media is an important component of the strategy and execution of those programs.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the social media marketing program, including developing and owning processes, and serving as the central POC for internal social-related inquiries.
  • Create and curate compelling social media content that boosts brand awareness and drives engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day social media community management - foster dialogue and answer questions or comments; ensuring brand compliance, quality assurance and timely response.

Education/experience/technical considerations:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years' general experience in a B2B corporate marketing environment preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Experience personally or professionally leveraging LinkedIn.
  • Experience strongly preferred with:
    • Salesforce.com
    • Marketo (or other, similar marketing automation platforms)
    • GoToWebcast
  • Background in functional human resources and payroll experience is a bonus!
