Global Commodity Lead

Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Commodity Strategy

o Set the Commodity Strategy

o Manage the Supplier Panel

o Build action plans to execute the Strategy

  • Budget in line with Business Expectations

o Build and execute MCIP BUDGET

o Identify reservoir of savings for the next 5 years

o Build a NTR plan to broaden SKU coverage ensuring appropriate time to market

  • Supplier Management

o Identify and support new suppliers approval

o Negotiate Prices and Conditions

o Build Supplier relationship

o Develop Suppliers and manage their performance

o Ensure relationship is covered by adequate level of contractual commitment

  • Execution and Sourcing Process

o Drive the Action Plan and delivers performance (MCIP, NTR, deliveries, quality, cash flow, costs, …)

o Award business to suppliers optimizing prices, savings, lead-times

  • Monitoring

o KPIs (MCIP, NTR, deliveries, quality, …)

o Supplier performance (scorecard)

o Raw material market trends

o Contracts implementation

o Risk Management

Qualifications:

B.S. Degree or above in Engineering, Commercial etc.

More than 5 years experiences on related commodity. Experience in auto industry will be a plus.

Good knowledge of relevant purchasing procedures and knowledge of relevant corporate procedures

Tenacious personality & ability to make things happen

Excellent Communication Skills - English (Mandarin a bonus but not essential)

Excellent computer skills such as MS Excel, MS Words. SAP will be a plus.
