CPC is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to be the Special Assistant to the President & CEO and managed by the Chief of Staff. The Special Assistant will be responsible for preparing documents on office initiatives and meetings, tracking priorities and follow up items, scheduling events and meetings, communicating with senior staff, and attending meetings.

Position Title: Special Assistant

Location: 150 Elizabeth Street, with occasional travel to other CPC program sites

Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours per week, occasional weekend and evening hours

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Special Assistant will also work with the senior leadership members, coordinate events, and prepare documents as needed. The Special Assistant will also be a 'jack of all trades', who will provide support to the President & CEO and Chief of Staff on CPC initiatives by creating briefing memos, writing summaries or reports, doing 'deep dives' into specific research questions, creating PowerPoints, and organizing special projects. The Special Assistant role is challenging, but will also provide opportunities for growth.

  • This role requires daily communication with the President & CEO, Chief of Staff, as well as with senior staff, partners, and internal staff members
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, and willingness to work on a wide range of projects and topics
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver with excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree;

  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated passion for working with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in an organized way
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively
  • Attend All Staff, Professional Development and other organizational-wide meetings.
