We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer in our Kokomo, Indiana Corporate Technology Center.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design/development of embedded software for automotive controllers
  • Work directly with customer to perform software requirements analysis
  • Work with systems and hardware engineers to ensure software achieves overall system requirements
  • Perform electrical schematic reviews and provide feedback to hardware engineers
  • Develop software design documentation and review with customer
  • Develop C code and/or software models as needed for design/coding process
  • Work with SW test competencies to resolve reported software issues
  • Perform functional testing on target hardware, generate unit test reports, and develop automated regression testing for software releases

Candidates for positions with Delphi must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 1+ years of experience with microprocessor software development methods - Integrated Development Environments, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience with use of generic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Fluent use of debuggers for embedded applications
  • Knowledge of Engine Management Systems
  • Ability to understand electrical schematic diagrams
  • Familiarity with use/concepts of SW configuration management tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customer and peers
  • Familiarity with COP timers, serial EEPROM, and EEPROM emulation in Flash Memory
  • Familiarity with NXP and Infineon 64 bit micros such as Cobra55 and AURIX
  • Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink
