Summary/Objective This position will provide supervision to program staff and ensure daily program operations are running. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and well-structured environment while embracing a person-centered and community integrated philosophy.

  • Primary Responsibilities
    • Supervises, recommends for hire, schedules and assigns staff as necessary to meet program needs.
    • Reviews, evaluates and provides feedback and direction to staff regarding procedures, performance, quality and person center programming to align with mission.
    • Completes review and approval of staff timesheet and paid time off.
    • Implements programming for individuals served.
    • Provides Non-medical Transportation and Vocational Habilitation services as needed to support DSP staff.

Position Requirements
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Responsible for staff training, quality assurance monitoring, and implementation of person-centered planning for all individuals served.
    • Assist clients with developmental disabilities in attaining the optimal level of independence.
    • Ensure legal compliance with DODD regulations, and client Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
    • Documents and reports to the required entities any incidents adversely affecting the health and safety of a client.
    • Completes administrative review of incident reports to ensure health and welfare.
    • Ensure standards of CQL are maintained and exceeded.
    • Ensure implementation of all sections of persons served ISP.
    • As assigned, assist in the general referral, admission and transition of persons served into and within the organization via participation in staff meetings.
    • Attend staff meetings, and other meetings, as assigned.
    • Complete all required documentation related to funding, employment or general operations.
    • Assure that proper procedures are followed regarding individuals and their inherent rights.
    • Assist in the timely submission of all records, files, financial records, etc.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises the direct support professional(s).

Required Education and Experience

  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Three years’ experience in program management and supervision in the developmental disabilities field, preferably in day habilitation services.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record.
  • Demonstration of excellent oral and written/ documentation skills with strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening meeting Ohio Adm. Code 5101:3-45-11 for Disqualifying Offenses.
  • Must pass DOT physical requirements for Non-Medical Transportation.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with consumers and other staff.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Reports to Day Program Manager

Work Environment This job operates in an office environment, but with frequent travel and community engagement.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to lift, bend, push, pull up to 50lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.
