Inventory Manager 

Description

The inventory manager position coordinates activities related to stocking and replenishing goods sold by the company by performing the duties outlined below.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor sales and inventory levels of selected SKUs updating forecasts.
  • Review sales forecasts; compare to results and update as appropriate.
  • Place stocking orders, re-orders and special orders with specific vendors as well as prepare and dispatch purchase orders.
  • Confer with vendor contacts to obtain favorable and timely deliveries as well as the best possible pricing.
  • Update inventory systems with timely and valid information when necessary.
  • Periodically meet with and exchange information with the merchandisers sharing the same vendor responsibilities.
  • Respond to the various departments within the organization who may need information regarding vendors, products, deliveries, etc.
  • Check all invoice discrepancies involving vendors in your area of responsibility. Correct and approve and return to accounting in a timely manner.
  • Assist with resolving vendor disputes.
  • Manage and verify GPO and Vendor Rebate reconciliation of all purchases for Finance.
  • Responsible for coordinating and confirming quarterly Inventory with outside Inventory Vendor.
  • Coordination and removal of all expired and returned products.
 
Position Requirements

Education: HS diploma required.

Experience: Purchasing experience required, in a healtcare setting preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff and other departments regularly.
  • Strong problem solving and analystical skills.
  • Customer/client focus.
  • Knowledge of Sure Cost Software is a Plus.
