Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for an experienced Project Manager to support EHS and our government customer in the DC Metro area.

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the interests of the Strategy, Branding, and website development team are met by managing all aspects of a project life cycle including project planning, development, change control, implementation, issue management, customer relationships and team leadership. This is accomplished through effective communication and facilitation skills, risk analysis, organization skills and attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with project team, customers, and management to prioritize requirements and develop and maintain detailed project plans using standard tools.
  • Create project charter and scope, phases, tasks, assignments, dependencies, and target dates.
  • Determine resource roles needed and work with management to secure project team members.
  • Coordination of meetings with customer and team members in the roadmap, strategy, and website development phases of the contract.
  • Establish and coordinate the plan for migration of the project into production.
  • Manage customer expectations and communicate with other groups as needed to ensure successful implementation.
  • Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories; working with other cross functional teams to understand use cases, features, business and technical domain rules and overall product goals.
  • Work with development teams to continuously improve product ownership and other agile processes.
  • Conduct Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
  • Understand and communicate the requirements of our products as we scale and continue to develop.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with the client that spans all project teams and processes that impact the product from end to end.
  • Produce technically focused user stories and collaborate with developers and engineers to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Build and groom product backlog(s).
  • Create and groom short, medium and long-term product roadmaps and get internal agreement with key stakeholders.
  • Using proficiency in both business and product knowledge investigate current tools and recommend solutions that support business needs.
  • Oversee and control product scope definition working with the business clients and external vendors to prioritize all enhancements.
  • Lead, consult and implement digital transformation initiatives across all business functions considering the latest technological trends
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of digital and web project information including process and procedure documentation to meet business requirements
  • Prepare project updates for meetings and clearly communicate status in written documents and communications
  • Set planning meetings, intake JIRA tickets, work with the design team on assets/creative, and help set up digital campaigns into platforms
  • Communicate with a variety of different stakeholders within Marketing, Design, Product and Web to gain alignment and transform information into a cohesive plan to drive completion of digital and web deliverables
  • Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation.
  • Develop project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget in support of service innovations and organizational and process changes/enhancements
  • Leads and engages single or cross-functional project teams. Ensures alignment of all project roles and responsibilities and they are articulated to each team member, modified as required, and accomplished throughout the project.
  • Developing application platforms strategy and roadmaps, performing required R&D and providing recommendations to deliver industry standard solutions and services that meet client’s business needs
  • Responsible for defining requirements, analyzing business needs, and validating solutions with the client
  • Maintain, track, report, and understand variances in the project deliverables and timeline by working in close collaboration with business stakeholders such as marketing campaigns teams, design teams, product teams, and other project and operational managers
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Agile development practices (especially Scrum) methodologies and tools.
  • Direct hands on experience with writing user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years Scrum experience
  • 3+ years technical experience (preferably web projects)
  • Outstanding technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Ability to understand and abstract complex systems from technical descriptions
  • A strong high-level knowledge of common web platform architectures
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Preferred
  • Drupal experience preferred

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
