Lauderdale Date: August 8, 2019 Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Develops and updates routings, MPP's and special processes. Confers with design engineering on new product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confers with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and materials for the manufacturing process. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science Degree 1-3 years equivalent experience Knowledge of mechanical systems, painting, lasers, machining, electronics, and electromechanical systems Familiar with Intuitive Program Photometric equipment, chemicals and chemical processing Computer skills in Microsoft office Skills Language Skills Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Mathematical Skills Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands * While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
