Foreign Affiliate Account Coordinator 

Description

Position Objective:

To manage accounting programs for PETA Australia, PETA Asia, PETA Netherlands and PETA France.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA Foundation and its' supported organizations:
 o Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations and post entries to required accounts
 o Perform accounts-payable functions for the organization's foreign affiliates
 o Assist with the corporate credit card programs for PETA and the PETA Foundation and regularly review all issued credit cards (including limits, bank adjustments, and disputes) and individual employee files. Manage banking, cash-flow, and annual audits for PETA France, PETA Netherlands, and PETA Australia
 o Process payroll and related tax payments for PETA Asia and PETA Australia
 o Prepare monthly budget and variance reports for PETA's affiliates
 o Analyze, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
 o Analyze, investigate, and correct accounting entries
 o Perform reconciliation of complex transactions
 o Propose improvements in processes to increase the effectiveness of the department and the supported organizations
 o Generate and maintain standard operating procedures
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager

 
Position Requirements

• Degree in accounting or other relevant field
• At least five years of accounting office experience
• Proficiency in Sage100 or similar accounting software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Proven exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven excellent analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to provide proof of a positive credit standing
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
