Successfully leads a large portion of LERETA's Tax Service Operations in meeting Client expectations, internal operational and financial goals. Additionally, this position provides subject matter expertise in support of LERETA's strategic and operational goals including but not limited to: industry representation, new product development, sales, client relationship development, and other special projects.

Operations Management:

  • Directs the day-to-day activities of several disparate Tax Service functions to provide extraordinary service to customers by meeting or exceeding Customer's contracted SLAs and service expectations. Responsibilities include:
  • ensuring LERETA's productivity, quality and customer SLA goals are consistently achieved.
  • establishing the necessary management reporting infrastructure to proactively track performance against Company and Unit goals.
  • establishing appropriate operational policies, procedures, workflows, controls, models and strategies based on customer and organizational needs.
  • initiating and sponsoring improvement initiatives and enhancing operational tools, processes, training, quality reviews and controls

Workforce Management:

  • Oversees a diverse workforce of approximately 50-100 regular and temporary FTEs across multiple locations in accordance with LERETA performance management policies.

Client Engagement:

  • Interacts with some tax service customers to:
  • serve as an additional point of contact for customer senior leadership
  • serve as an additional point of escalation for customer operational leadership
  • improve the service and reduce the cost of current services offered
  • expand the breath of services offered to existing customer through understanding customer's needs & objectives and developing appropriate solutions.
  • maintain close and productive relationships at various levels within the customer's organization from front line staff through Mortgage Servicing Executives.
  • assist with the content development, preparation and presentation at client audits/visits.

Strategic Support:

  • Confers with and provides assistance to other LERETA executives and senior managers so that all company goals are met in accordance with its strategic business plan.
  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and develop long range goals and objectives.
  • Provides support to sales surveys, requests for proposals, pricing proposals, audits, reviews, contracts and other assessments as may be required by new and existing customers.
  • Professionally represents LERETA to the lending community, cultivate relationships in support of the company's business development objectives and identifying opportunities for enhancement of its services.
  • When customer needs are outside scope of services provided, identifies, documents and recommends effective solutions to market needs, coordinating with Sales, IT, and Operations when appropriate.
  • Professionally represents LERETA to industry professional association meetings, trade shows and conferences where appropriate and within established budgets.
  • Supports, leads, and provides stakeholder updates for other strategic and operational projects as assigned by Management.

Financial Management:

  • Meets or exceeds LERETA's unit budget/reforecast, loss and profitability goals.

  • Ensures appropriate budgets, reforecasts, variance analysis and other financial plans/goals are developed, maintained and realized.

  • Ensures the profitability of all functions under management by ensuring production, productivity, cost, quality, and customer-service standards are established and consistently met.

  • Ensures tight control over the company's cash resources, with minimal cash outlay (advances).

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.
  • 10 years experience in mortgage servicing industry.
  • Management experience with at least 3 direct reports and/or 50 indirect staff.
  • Direct budget responsibility >$1MM annually.
