Description

Serving the Augmentative and Alternative Communication community this full time position involves the procurement of speech generating devices, writing aids, mountings and parts to support leasing and sales as well as the processing of all sales orders and quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Program Director the Purchasing Agent will:

  • Generate purchase orders
  • Issue tenders (Request For Proposals)
  • Review and monitor inventory
  • Maintain all documentation and records
  • Negotiate pricing and manage contracts
  • Source new products and vendors
  • Maintain system database
  • Provide sales quotes and process sales orders

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • A relevant college diploma or university degree (i.e. Supply Chain Management, Business)
  • 1-2 years purchasing experience ideally in an electronics / high tech environment
  • PMAC enrollment and AAC experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of 4D information system is an asset.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment, be self motivated, and team focused.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
