About the Organization Hill Country Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Centers is a unit of local government and a not-for-profit, 501C provider of Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Veteran Peer Services throughout the greater Texas Hill Country Region. Hill Country MHDD Centers is designated to be the Mental Health Authority by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for a 19 County Service Area including: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde Counties. Department: Office Management Systems

HCMHDD Centers is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Support Services Assistant (Administrative Assistant) under the direction of the Coordinator of Office Management Systems. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to support staff systems throughout the clinics, Office Management Systems Coordinator and Pharmacy Liaison. They will participate in monthly support staff meetings, assist with NEO training, enter daily pharmacy inventory, perform desk audits, conduct training and assist clinics when staff vacancies arise. Travel is expected 50% of the time. Back up duties: Assist with Pharmacy Liaison duties and facilitate meetings when needed.

Position Requirements

Academic / Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in duties related to the position. One semester (15 semester hours) of college work may substitute for each six (6) months of experience.
  • Two years of training experience (preferred)
  • Two years of data entry experience (preferred)
  • Two years of medical office experience (preferred)
  • Experience with electronic health records(preferred)

Certificates / Licensure:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Current Automobile Insurance
